Site Update: No Shockwave Festival? Lost Cattle Decapitation Interview and More

Greetings Readers of the Sin...
Your friendly neighborhood owner/operator Villi Thorne speaking.

So far it has been a horrendous week for metal. Randy Blythe, lead singer from Lamb of God, is locked up for a crime he didn't commit. Children of Bodom's frontman Alexi Laiho has a serious infection going on, leading to the cancellation of many tour dates. Abigial Williams have called it quits. And much to my personal dismay, Shockwave Festival has been officially cancelled after losing Voivod, Havok, and Fear Factory.

As per my previous site update, I was excited to announce that I had a film interview coming up with Cattle Decapitation at Shockwave Fest. Never fear, I will still seek out this interview, though I am crushed it fell through as I was personally looking forward to seeing them play infront of more than ten people. The last, and only time, I saw the band live was in 2009 and thanks to the promoter I was among 9 other people to show up.

Where one door closes a window of opportunity opens... later this month I'll be headed to Hellfest for three days and prior to that I will be seeing the Skeletonwitch/Barn Burner tour. After Hellfest, I'll be headed to a Valfreya concert to which I do not know yet who is headlining. I'll also be seeing Agalloch in the same week. In the meantime, I have a lot of reviews to get done and two interviews to write. So keep us bookmarked and in your subscription, content is abundant!
